MildAtlas is an independent blog operated by SS at https://en.mildatlas.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse the site, leave a comment, or contact us.
Information you provide
If you email mildatlas.blog@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, investigate corrections, and handle privacy requests. Email is handled through Gmail. Please avoid sending passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Comments and profile pictures
When comments are available on a post, WordPress collects the details entered in the comment form, including your name, email address, optional website, and comment, along with your IP address and browser user agent for moderation and spam prevention. Approved comments and display names are public; email addresses are not displayed with comments.
Gravatar is enabled for profile pictures. A hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to look up your avatar. The picture can be displayed alongside an approved comment. See Automattic’s privacy policy for Gravatar’s practices.
Technical information and hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Requests to the site may be recorded in technical access, error, and security logs, including IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps, and browser information. These records support site delivery, troubleshooting, and security. The site also uses LiteSpeed Cache to deliver cached pages. Hostinger’s handling of information is described in its privacy policy.
Cookies
If you opt in when commenting, WordPress can save your name, email address, and website in cookies for one year so that you do not need to enter them again. You can decline this option.
The login page uses a temporary cookie to test whether your browser accepts cookies; it is removed when you close your browser. For authorized site users, login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks when Remember Me is selected, while screen preference cookies last one year. Logging out removes login cookies. Editing or publishing content can set a post ID cookie that expires after one day. Public visitor registration is not currently offered.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or other functions from working.
Advertising, analytics, and external content
Google Analytics and Google AdSense are not currently installed on this site. If these services are introduced, this policy and any required privacy controls will be updated before they are activated.
If an article includes an image, video, or other resource loaded from another website, your browser connects to that provider, which can receive technical information such as your IP address. Embedded services may also use their own cookies or tracking. An ordinary external link takes you to a separate website when you choose to follow it. Those providers have their own privacy policies.
Service providers and storage
Information is processed through providers needed to operate the site and respond to messages, including Hostinger for hosting, Google for Gmail, and Automattic for Gravatar when used. Their processing locations may be outside your country. We do not sell personal information. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the site and its users.
Retention
WordPress retains comments and their metadata until they are removed; no automatic deletion period is currently configured. Email correspondence is kept while needed to handle the inquiry and related follow-up. Technical logs and backups follow the hosting provider’s retention settings; a specific log deletion period has not been independently verified. Copies may remain in routine backups until those backups expire.
Your choices and requests
You can ask about the information associated with your comments or emails, request a copy, or request correction or deletion by contacting SS at mildatlas.blog@gmail.com. We may need enough information to verify the request. Some information may need to be retained for legal or security purposes. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights and the right to contact your local data protection authority may apply.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated as the site’s services and practices change. The date above indicates the latest revision. For privacy questions, contact SS at mildatlas.blog@gmail.com.
